Youtube is a salad of information. Some of it is correct, and some of it is not. Using youtube also provides no feedback to you, which can be detrimental. Having a teacher who can identify YOUR strengths and weaknesses will help you become a better player faster than searching for bits of information that may or may not apply to you.

Even just an assessment consultation (15-20mins) can help you find where your skills are, and where they could go. New students interested in study with us should book an assessment lesson first!

Billing is paid by the lesson, booked in advance through our calendar app. Become a member of Delco guitar academy to gain access to booking and billing, find a time slot that works for you, and follow the information given on billing and receipts. Upon confirmation you will be given username info and will be contacted at the booked time scheduled.
Every person is a unique individual, with different strengths and weaknesses. Each of us also have specific goals they want to get to by taking guitar lessons. There is no single approach to teaching music. Each student has a practice routine and repertoire outline designed specifically by them by experienced teachers who listen to what the student wants, and combines it with an approach that also gives them a little of what they need as well.
If you are just starting out and are a total beginner, it would be best to take lessons face to face or through online lessons. Factor on the age of the student and their interest level with regards to lesson length. We recommend 30 mins for anyone under age 10. If they are highly motivated move up to 45 mins. 60 min or more lessons are also available.
If you have already been playing guitar, and have more specific goals personal to you, it is advisable to book an assessment lesson (usually 15-20 mins), in which you and a teacher will discuss your current playing and help you identify your strengths and weaknesses.
YES. Although there are discounts to paying by the month, some students prefer the flexibility to choose when they can take lessons.
Lessons cancelled in less than 24 hours notice are charged for the lesson. Lessons cancelled with more than 24 hours notice are given a credit to be used as a makeup when the teacher and student find a slot that works for them.
Major credit cards and PayPal are accepted through our e-commerce app. There will be a checkout screen prompt upon booking or purchasing materials.

Our students are diverse, from all walks of life and wildly different experiences playing music. Students also take lessons for many different reasons. Some very specific. We pride ourselves on forming long term motivating relationships with our students, as our goal as teachers is to help bring them the joy of playing music, experiencing it with others, and learning to be creative within the medium. We love it, and we want everyone else to as well!
Any computer/laptop/phone/tablet, with a stable internet connection and a camera/mic will work just fine. Having a printer to use for hard copies of lesson materials is also a good idea.
No! We will not do that! We promise :). When new free lesson material comes up, or new material comes in the storefront, we promise to limit our emails to once a week, if that.
Yes! Depending on the specific item in question. We do offer discounted billing for monthly lessons booked, as well as discounts on products for members who have taken lessons regularly.
